economy. Supply of and demand for funds, interest rate determination,
monetary and fiscal policy, flow of funds analysis. Financial policies
and operations of commercial banks and other financial institutions.

The nature of financial management, financial analysis and fore-
casting, profit planning and budgeting, working capital management,
capital budgeting and cost of capital, long-term financing, the use
of leverage, internal and external growth, failure, reorganization and
liquidation. Prerequisites: ACCT 2013, 2023; ECON 2013, 2023;
MGMT 2033.

Principles of risk managment emphasizing insurance; insurance poli-
cies, regulations and profession; the types of insurance including
property, liability, health and life. Prerequisite: Junior standing or

of physical, economic, legal, and technical factors; real estate
